Today, LCP members patrolled Avenue U, checking on local merchants and acting as the eyes and ears of the police. We remain vigilant and alert for community safety. Thank you to everyone who continues to support our efforts. 

Today’s patrol on Ave U was exceptionally hot, but our dedicated volunteers didn‘t let the heat stop them! Big thanks to everyone who joined us to make a difference in our community. Stay hydrated and keep up the amazing work! 

LCP conducted a successful patrol on Avenue U alongside NYPD 61st Precinct officers and News 12 Brooklyn reporter. We checked up on local businesses, and several merchants shared how LCP has positively impacted their lives.

During our patrol, we encountered a child having trouble with his bicycle due to a plastic bag jammed in the back wheel. We were happy to help him and ensure he could safely continue on his way.

News 12 interviewed LCP during the patrol, and many local residents came forward to praise LCP for its contributions to community safety. Present at the patrol were LCP Senior Advisor Steve Chan, Patrol Team Leader Kent Woo, 61st Precinct Community Community Affairs Officers, merchants and residents, and a taekwondo coach. Our dedicated LCP team conducted a patrol at a public school in Sheepshead Bay during dismissal. Ensuring the safety of students and providing a visible presence in our community schools remains a top priority.

Bensonhurst LCP Expansion Community Partnership Meeting

LCP marked a significant milestone by expanding its patrol to Bensonhurst! Key community stakeholders, officers from the NYPD 61st Precinct and NYPD NYPD 62nd Precinct including Deputy Inspector Eddie Lau and Captain Emanuel Iskhakov, elected officials Assemblyman William Colton and Assemblywoman Nicole Malliotakis officer member, LCP leader Kent Woo and LCP Advisor Steve Chan, and local residents gathered to discuss this expansion. The 61st Precinct shared valuable insights from their collaboration with LCP, highlighting our quick response times and effective communication. The 62nd Precinct expressed optimism about our new partnership.

LCP Leader thanked everyone for their support and emphasized the importance of community involvement. We‘re excited to start recruiting volunteers in Bensonhurst to enhance local patrols. Join us in making our community safer!

Our LCP members hit the streets to ensure everyone felt safe and secure. With their presence, we create a sense of security that makes our neighborhood shine even brighter.

Our LCP team was out in full force today, patrolling at Sheepshead Bay to ensure the safety and security of our community.

Yesterday, our community was alerted to a robbery at a local merchant‘s store. Thanks to swift action, LCP assisted in contacting the authorities, ensuring a prompt response.

Later in the day, one of our LCP members spotted two suspects exiting an apartment. This critical observation has led to a focused investigation, with all evidence promptly reported to the 61st Precinct.

Today, our patrol will center around this area, working closely with law enforcement to ensure the safety and security of our neighborhood. Stay vigilant, stay safe!

Today, LCP had an invaluable Safety training session led by one of our professional firefighter members. He provided essential safety tips to our LCP members who are dedicated to patrolling our community.

We focused on several key topics, including the correct steps to take when encountering a downed wire during patrols. Our firefighter member shared his expertise, ensuring that everyone knows how to handle such situations safely.

Another highlight of the session was the exchange of experiences between our presenter and another LCP member who is also a firefighter. They discussed effective radio communication strategies to maintain safety during incidents.

Additionally, we revisited a past incident where LCP members intervened to stop a group of teenagers from physically assaulting another teenager. The victim was wounded and bleeding, and without medical equipment on hand, our firefighter advised that the best course of action is to have the victim apply pressure to the wound until help arrives.

This training session was an excellent opportunity for our team to enhance their knowledge and readiness, ensuring we can respond effectively to emergencies and keep our community safe.

Last night, LCP was out patrolling Ave U to keep our community safe. Our team was vigilant and ready to respond to any issues. Your safety is our mission! 

Local Community Patrol had the privilege of attending the 61 Precinct Community Council meeting. It was an honor to witness Assemblyman Michael Novakhov‘s office award a citation to the 61 Precinct, expressing gratitude for their tireless efforts in keeping our community safe.
